Why it matters now
Fireflies, heart cells, clapping audiences, and alternating-current grids all lock into step through weak coupling. Every electricity grid on Earth is a synchronisation problem, and the renewable transition is partly a question of keeping millions of small inverters in phase where a few large turbines once sufficed. Grid-forming inverters are the engineering answer, and they work.
